Collection: Greek mastic gum: raw resin tears

Mastic trees produce "mastic crystals - tears" which are usually dried on and under the tree, harvested by hand and packaged either as crystals themselves or ground into a powder that is used as a dietary supplement and contributes to the normal functioning of the digestive system.

The large crystals are usually used as chewing gum, while the small ones are used as a spice. It is better to chew large pieces because they are softer inside, small pieces are usually hard like a stone. Mastic freshens the breath.
