On 11.11.2022 it was 110 years since the Greek island of Chios was liberated from Turkish control and rejoined Greece.
The painting "Massacre on Chios"
French artist Eugène Delacroix depicted the events of the island in his famous painting "The Massacre of Chios", which is on display at the Louvre.
