Zuzka has worked with Chios mastic since 2008 – over 17 years of experience. She is an enthusiastic advocate of a healthy lifestyle and uses mastic herself. She is fascinated by its history, the way it is produced, and its role in supporting the normal function of the digestive system.

What she focuses on

In the Masticlife team she makes sure readers get clear, understandable information on how to use mastic and fit it into everyday life. She is the author of most of the pages and guides on Masticlife (the blog is written by her colleague Ondřej). When writing she draws on years of practice, professional literature and trustworthy sources, and updates the content continuously.

How she works with information

She bases her content on trustworthy medical and scientific sources, including peer-reviewed studies (PubMed / NCBI, such as the study published in The New England Journal of Medicine), the health portals Healthline and Medical News Today, and the EU rules for health claims on food supplements (EFSA). She cites the source directly in each article and reviews and updates the content regularly.

Outside work, Zuzka loves spending time in nature – long walks in the woods, watching birds, and being with her dogs. Family is the basis of everything for her (and she has a weakness for chocolate).
