- Mastic is a resin, and due to heat the powder inside the capsule may bond into a single solid mass. This has no effect on efficacy, but in some people the digestibility of the capsule contents may be reduced. In this case, gently squeeze the capsule between your fingers just before taking it so that the mastic inside is at least partially crumbled.
