Chios mastic gum: raw resin tears

Mastic trees produce "mastic crystals - tears" which are usually dried on and under the tree, harvested by hand and packaged either as crystals themselves or ground into a powder that is used as a dietary supplement and contributes to the normal functioning of the digestive system.
