What is EMA?

EMA stands for the European Medicines Agency (EMA). It is the European Union (EU) agency responsible for the evaluation and supervision of medicinal products.

The European Medicines Agency is a decentralised body of the European Union based in Amsterdam. Its main task is to protect and promote public and animal health through the evaluation and supervision of medicinal products for human and veterinary use.
