Mastic Strong&Pure - How to Solve Sticking Powder in a Capsule?
In short: Mastic powder can stick together inside Mastic Strong&Pure capsules after exposure to heat or humidity. This is normal for a pure, additive-free resin and does not affect quality — and it’s easy to fix.
What do Mastic Strong&Pure capsules contain?
Strong&Pure capsules contain only crushed mastic gum — 100% mastic powder, with no added substances. Like all resins, mastic is sensitive to external influences, mainly heat and humidity. Because they are our purest product, these capsules are also the most sensitive to temperature and moisture.
Why don’t they contain anti-caking agents?
Because we care about the purity of the product. With Strong&Pure you take mastic powder with nothing added — but the trade-off is that the powder can stick together, so proper storage matters.
Store Mastic Strong&Pure in the refrigerator
- Mastic resin is very sensitive to higher temperatures.
- Both mastic tears and 100% mastic capsules should be kept in the refrigerator (especially in summer), in their intact blister pack.
- We don’t recommend transferring them into other containers, such as pill boxes.
Ordering in summer? A quick tip
Good to know: In hot summer weather, pure mastic can soften and stick during shipping and storage. If that’s a concern, you have two easy options:
- Stock up when it’s cooler — order a larger supply in the cooler months and keep it in the fridge.
- Choose a blend with an anti-caking agent — Mastic+ Prebiotic and Mastic+ D3 contain a little silicon dioxide, so they’re less prone to sticking. Mastic Comfort sachets are another easy option.
How to store mastic gum properly
| Tip | Instruction |
|---|---|
| Storage place | Keep mastic in the fridge or a cool, dry place. |
| Sunlight | Do not expose the resin to direct sunlight. |
| Stuck powder | If the powder has set in a capsule, gently crush the capsule between your fingers — the powder will crumble again. |
| Safety | Stuck mastic powder is not harmful and its quality is unchanged. |

Frequently asked questions
Why does the mastic powder stick in the capsules?
Strong&Pure capsules contain only pure mastic resin with no anti-caking agent, so heat and humidity can make the powder stick together.
Is stuck mastic powder still OK to use?
Yes. Sticking does not affect quality. Just crush the capsule gently between your fingers and the powder will crumble again.
How should I store Mastic Strong&Pure?
In the refrigerator or a cool, dry place, in the intact blister pack — especially during summer.
How can I avoid sticking in summer?
Order a larger supply in cooler months and refrigerate it, or choose a blend with a little silicon dioxide (Mastic+ Prebiotic or Mastic+ D3), or Mastic Comfort sachets.
Want pure simplicity, or a blend that resists summer heat? We’ve got both.
